I was awarded a BA (Honours) Social Work degree from Hull University in 2015, and over the last 9 years I have gained substantial Child Protection and Court work experience.

Previous & Current employment experience
Staring my career as a Social Worker, I worked for North East Lincolnshire Council. I enjoyed 3 years service with them. I decided to find a position closer to my home, and was accepted as a Senior Social Worker at Bradford City Council. During my time there I progressed to Practice Supervisor and Team Manager over a 4-year period.
Following this, I spent a year in a Court Team in the Nottinghamshire area, assessing parents and wider family members in care proceedings cases, to determine the safest outcomes for children at the conclusion of the care proceedings.
Currently, I am employed as an Advanced Practitioner in a Children In Care team, within a UK Local Authority.
Experiences & Highlighted Skill Sets
During my time working as a Social Worker, I have assessed parents who had suspected or diagnosed learning disabilities, and also parents where English was not their first language. I am confident in utilising tools and services which allow me to gain the best information to inform my assessments for the court.
I have completed the ParentAssess (2016) training. I currently undertake assessments for the Courts and Local Authorities countrywide.
